A wonderful, tight thriller. Been a while since I've seen a movie I really liked, and Absolute Power is a good one. Eastwood directs and stars in this thriller about a high class burglar who gets caught up in a murder cover-up that reaches all the way to the President of the United States. While burglarizing a home, he sees the Secret Service kill a woman who the President has been having an affair with. Someone finds out he was there, and the chase in on. Eastwood does a great job directing the film. Everything is very deliberate, but the film is very tight. Everything you see, you need to see. He doesn't throw in extra scenes just to kill time. No gratuitious sex scenes, no one dies without a good reason. Unlike a lot of films I've seen recently, this one I was actually caught up in for the entire film. So if you're interested in seeing a good movie for a change, go rent Absolute Power, you won't be dissapointed.
