Didn't know what to expect other than this was a Blumhouse production and I was very impressed. The older I get the harder it is for me to watch horror films, especially ones involving children, and this was one of those films. The entire movie was just filled with a sense of dread. You never quite knew what was going to happen next and you were always waiting for the worst. There were jump scares for sure - enough of them to keep you rattled - but it was just the overall presence of the film that kept you on edge. Partly supernatural, but mostly because the actors were so damn good. And to its credit there were just enough laughs to make those scares even more impressive. Definitely one to see.
